Privacy policy
This policy explains what information BREACH (the mobile game and the website breachgame.cc) collects, why, and what you can do about it. BREACH is made by RCK Studio ("we", "us"). Questions: [email protected].
Short version: you don't give us your name, email or phone number to play. Your account is an anonymous ID tied to your device. We keep your game progress, what you do in the game and what you write in chat, so the game works and stays fair. Ads may use your device's advertising ID if you allow it. We never sell your personal information. You can delete your account in the game at any time.
1. What we collect
Account and game data
- Player ID and sign-in token. Created when you first open the game, stored on your device. We store only a hash of the token.
- Handle and chat tag you choose, shown to other players.
- Game progress: level, currencies, gear, software, items, runs, scores, season points, clan membership and settings.
- Interactions with other players: in-game attacks and their results, leaderboard placement, clan activity.
- Chat messages and reports you send, and moderation actions about your account.
Purchases
- When you buy something, Apple or Google processes the payment. We receive the order or transaction ID, the product and the store's confirmation, which we check with Apple or Google. We never see your card or payment details.
Fair play and security
- Device integrity signals: on Android, Google Play Integrity's verdict about whether the app and device are genuine; on all devices, whether the device looks rooted or jailbroken, emulated or modified, or is running cheat tools. Used only to keep the game fair.
- Gameplay recordings: the inputs of each hacking run, so our server can check the result.
- IP address: our servers and our network provider (Cloudflare) process it to deliver the game, limit abuse and protect accounts. We don't store it in your game account.
Advertising
- The game shows ads through Unity LevelPlay and its ad network partners. They may collect your device's advertising ID (IDFA on iPhone, Google Advertising ID on Android), device and app information, approximate location from your IP address, and how you interact with ads.
- You choose in the game whether ads may be personalized, and you can change this any time in Profile → Settings. On iPhone, the advertising ID is only shared if you allow tracking when iOS asks. Without consent you still get ads, just non-personalized ones.
- When you finish a rewarded ad, the ad network confirms the view to our server with your player ID, so the reward can be paid.
- Buying Remove Ads stops interstitial ads.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location. Notifications are scheduled on your device and don't need any extra identifier. We don't use separate analytics or tracking tools.
2. Why we use it
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (EU/UK) |
|---|---|---|
| Running the game, saving progress, multiplayer, chat, clans, leaderboards | Account and game data | Performance of our agreement with you |
| Delivering purchases and preventing purchase fraud | Purchase data | Performance of our agreement; legal obligations (tax, accounting) |
| Fair play, cheat detection, security, moderation | Integrity signals, run recordings, IP address, chat and reports | Our legitimate interest in a fair and safe game |
| Showing ads and paying ad rewards | Advertising data, player ID | Your consent for personalized ads; our legitimate interest for non-personalized ads |
| Answering support requests | What you send us | Our legitimate interest in helping you |
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with services that help us run BREACH:
- Hosting: our server provider, which runs the game server and database in the Netherlands (EU).
- Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the website and the game connection.
- Apple and Google, to confirm purchases and (on Android) device integrity.
- Unity LevelPlay and its ad network partners, to show ads (see above). Their own privacy policies apply to what they collect.
- Other players see your handle, chat tag, level, clan, chat messages and leaderboard placement.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. How long we keep it
- Your account and game data: for as long as your account exists. When you delete it, we remove it from the live database straight away and from backups within 14 days.
- Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, linked only to your player ID.
- Moderation records about rule-breaking: up to 12 months, to stop repeat abuse.
5. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: in the game, open your profile (the level ring at the top) → Settings → Delete account. See Delete account for other ways.
- Ad personalization: Profile → Settings in the game, and your device's privacy settings.
- Notifications: Profile → Settings, or your device settings.
- Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California law), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict some uses, and to withdraw consent. Write to [email protected] from the game's Support page or include your player ID (Profile → Settings) so we can find your account. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
6. Children
BREACH is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
7. Security
Connections to our servers are encrypted (HTTPS). The server holds the authoritative copy of your game, passwords and tokens are stored as hashes, and access to the database is limited to us. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you in the game for important changes.
